Every dog has a unique personality, so it only makes sense that pet owners want to give their pooch equally unique names. But choosing one can be difficult. Your dog will always hold a special place in your heart, which is why their name typically has some form of special meaning, even if it’s just for laughs. So hats off to US pet insurance provider Nationwide Insurance, as they went through their database of more than 700,000 insured pets and chose the winning names through a public voting process.

Well… I wouldn’t say *completely* normal, but it’s an awesome name nonetheless 🙂.
My dog’s name is Brèagha, which is pronounced like “bree-ah.” When the receptionist at the vet’s asked me how to spell it, she looked at me like I was nuts. I was like, “yeah… it’s Scottish.” 😁 And at this place they always call the dog’s name instead of the owner’s, so later the vet comes out and calls “Um… Breggah?”
